The Alta Municipal Utilities and the City of Alta is honoring Bruce Johnson, cancer dominator and all-around tough guy, with a benefit soup luncheon to celebrate his life and help raise funds for medical costs. The benefit is set for Sunday, Feb. 8, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Alta Community Center.
Hall of Fame musician Bob Leech will be providing musical entertainment with a few special guests. These are some pretty awesome dudes, but to build some suspense, I’m going to make you wait a little bit before I tell you who they are.
Speaking of entertainment, some of the good natured guys of the city of Alta will be shaving their heads to help raise money as well. Now let me tell you something cool about this fundraiser; any of the funds which are not needed to help pay for Bruce’s medical costs …will be donated to other families who need assistance in covering such a heavy debt. So, not only do you get to see some very handsome guys shave it all off, you’re helping multiple grateful families- and that should just give you all sorts of warm fuzzies.
So please join us for some yummy soup (chili, turkey noodle, and vegetable beef) and cinnamon rolls, great music, awesome bald dudes, and share some stories about a man who has touched more lives than he possibly knows.
If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate, an account has been set up at Heritage Bank in Alta.
