The Friends of Alta Community Foundation was established in 2024 for the purpose of enhancing, improving, and growing the community of Alta by securing donations and using these donations to support projects with a strong community focus.

There are a lot of exciting projects for our community that are in the planning stages.
Did you know that you can make a TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donation to the Friends of Alta Foundation and help spark these projects from plans to reality?
There are plans in the works for community beautification projects, some park projects, and a library project, just to name a few.
How Can You Help?
If you would like to donate to these specific projects or just make a donation to be used for the betterment of our community, you have options!
1. You can drop a cash or check donation at City Hall.
2. You can visit this site: https://www.desmoinesfoundation.org/FriendsofAlta and make an online (or even a recurring) donation.
No matter how you donate, you can earmark your donation for a specific project or community focus.
